According to a study by the Gender Equity Policy Institute, the effects of overturning abortion rights have been devastating. 

• 6 in 10 women live in states that ban abortion or sharply limit reproductive freedom. 
• Mothers who live in states that banned abortion after Roe vs Wade was overturned, are up to three times more likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth or soon after giving birth.  
• Babies born in banned states are 30% more likely to die in their first month of life. 
• Black women were almost three times as likely to die in pregnancy, childbirth or right after giving birth than White women. 

The rights of transgender people to live, work, and simply exist as their authentic selves are being eliminated across the country. A report by the Human Rights Campaign shows the impact of elimination of gender-affirming care. 

• 3 in 10 trans youth ages 13-17 live in states that have passed bans on gender-affirming care. 
• An additional 13.2% of trans youth are living in states that have pending anti-trans bills. 
• Some states, including Oklahoma have banned trans health care for young people up to age 26. 
• According to the National Institute of Health 82% of transgender people consider suicide, and 40% have attempted suicide. Suicidality is higher among transgender youth.
