Preparing for Your Appointment

Welcome to Trust Women Wichita Clinic. We take great pride in providing you with high-quality, confidential reproductive health care in a welcoming, warm environment. Please see the information below to help make your appointment go as smoothly as possible.

General information:

You may fill out all required medical forms listed online before the day of your appointment.

The main entrance to the clinic is on the east side of the building, toward the north end of the parking lot. The entrance has double doors. A doorbell is also located by the entrance doors in case someone is not immediately there to let you in the building.

No weapons are allowed on the premises for your safety.

If you are using noisy electronics, please bring headphones.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please give us a call at 316-260-6934 at least 24 hours beforehand.

A way to shorten your wait time would be to come in beforehand to see us for all your initial paperwork and labs. Please call the office if you would like to come in prior to your procedure.

You will need to bring in a valid ID for your appointment. Approved IDs are state ID, driver’s license, school ID with name and picture, credit card with name and picture, passport and military ID. Requiring your ID is a security procedure for your safety as well as ours.

All of your information is protected under HIPAA and is completely confidential.

You may encounter protesters outside near the gated entrance. We suggest you just drive past them. You do not need to stop at the gates for any reason.

We recommend you leave any valuables or jewelry at home. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

What to expect on the day of your abortion:

This form outlines what you need to do and expect on the day of your abortion procedure at Trust Women Wichita Clinic. Please call if you have any questions.

The cost of the abortion procedure is dependent on the gestational age. This will be verified via ultrasound. If the pregnancy is further along than initially estimated, the cost of the procedure may increase. If you are Rh Negative (negative blood type), there will be an additional charge of $75 to $100, depending on gestational age, for RhoGAM.

You are responsible for the cost of services on the day of your appointment. If you arrive without the entire amount owed, you will be rescheduled. There are abortion funds that may be able to assist with the cost of the procedure if you qualify. If you have further questions regarding these funds, please contact us.

You will be here between four to eight hours the day of your appointment. The state of Kansas has implemented laws that impact your wait time. Unfortunately, we can’t estimate how long your appointment will take. Please be prepared to wait and make arrangements for anything else you have planned that day. We will do our best to make your time as short as possible.

If time constraints are an issue, we do offer a Fast-Pass ($200), which will shorten your wait time (if you are under 12 weeks gestation) or private abortion care (starting at $1,300).

Be sure you have received the 24 -our informed consent form at least 24 hours before your procedure. If you did not receive the form least 24 hours before your appointment time, you will be rescheduled. This is a law put forth by the State of Kansas.

We offer intravenous sedation for procedures at an additional cost. This option allows for greater relaxation and tends to have an “amnesia” effect. If you are interested in this option, please let our office know ahead of time as you must have a driver, and the driver must sign paperwork.

If you are planning a surgical procedure, you will be offered oral medications to help you relax. If you wish to take these medications, you must have a driver, and the driver must sign paperwork.  We can call a taxi for you if you do not have anyone to drive you. You also may refuse this medication.

Do not drink any alcohol or use street drugs at least 24 hours before your appointment and 24 hours after your appointment.

If you are doing a medication abortion, do not drink alcohol or use street drugs for at least 24 hours after taking the second set of medication.
