Our 10th Anniversary Celebration
Stay tuned for more information on Trust Women's 10 YEAR CELEBRATION.
In 2009, following the assassination of Dr. George R. Tiller, Julie Burkhart founded Trust Women. Working side-by-side with Dr. Tiller, Ms. Burkhart saw the perseverance and resilience necessary to fight for reproductive justice and abortion access. She founded Trust Women to carry on and honor Dr. Tiller's legacy and to make sure that women would have access to the health care they need, including abortion, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay.
In those 10 years, Trust Women has grown and has faced numerous challenges head-on, opening a clinic in Wichita, KS (2013); Oklahoma City, OK (2016) and Seattle, WA (2017).
This year's Gala will not only be an event to remember, but an event you will not want to forget. We will be reflecting, not only on the past 10 years, but also remembering Dr. Tiller himself. He was a "woman educated doctor," as he would famously tout. We will be honoring his commitment to abortion care—in which he became known as the provider of last resort.
Sign up! And get ready, because this will be an event you won't want to miss.
We are looking for artists for a silent auction, volunteers, both day of and beforehand, a photographer and a videographer. If you are interested in contributing your time or talents please fill out the “Additional Information” field in the form below.
