Our 10th Anniversary Celebration
In 2009, following the assassination of Dr. George R. Tiller, Julie Burkhart founded Trust Women. Having worked side-by-side with Dr. Tiller, Ms. Burkhart saw the perseverance and resilience necessary to fight for reproductive justice and abortion access. She founded Trust Women to continue and honor Dr. Tiller's legacy and to make sure that women would have access to the health care they need, including abortion, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay.
In those ten years, Trust Women has grown and has faced numerous challenges head-on, opening a clinic in Wichita, Kan. (2013); Oklahoma City, Okla. (2016) and Seattle, Wash. (2017). Trust Women is proud of the progress we’ve made in those ten years, and we’re looking forward to doing so much more in the next decade.
Trust Women will celebrate this milestone with a series of events throughout the year. Keep checking back here for updates and more information.
