A large part of our work outside of the clinics is building positive relationships with lawmakers in both Kansas and Oklahoma, giving us access and space to be able to speak on behalf of our communities, whether affirming legislation that expands access to abortions, or pushing back against creeping abortion bans, arbitrary regulation or unscientific discourse.
Our 2024 Legislative Priorities packet outlines our top issues for this year's legislative sessions in Oklahoma and Kansas. We're staying in the fight, pushing for expanded access to contraception, gender-affirming care for all people, expanding access to Medicaid and legal protections for abortion providers and patients.
We're also pushing back against the steady encroaching into health care by anti-abortion centers (so-called "pregnancy crisis centers") and calling for more governmental oversight and ending the use of state funds to support these fake clinics.
